The Welch Center's core faculty member Associate Professor Liz Selvin, PhD, MPH, has been notified that she is a winner of the Advising, Mentoring, and Teaching Award (AMTA) for the Department of Epidemiology. The awards are given by the Student Assembly of the Bloomberg School of Public Health, which states that "this is a prestigious award nominated and elected by all students" at the BSPH. Dr. Selvin will be recognized at the school-wide Honors and Awards Ceremony to be held on May 22nd. At that ceremony, Dr. Selvin will be presented with a plaque representing her award.
The Advising, Mentoring, and Teaching Award has been granted annually since 2004. In the nine years the award has been presented, this is the sixth time it has been won by a member of the Welch Center.
Congratulations, Dr. Selvin, on continuing a proud tradition!
