Dr. Sherita Golden promoted to Associate Professor

The Welch Center congratulates its core faculty member Dr. Sherita Hill Golden on her promotion to Associate Professor. Dr. Golden's primary research interests center on identifying endocrine risk factors associated with diabetes and cardiovascular disease through the incorporation of measures of hormonal function into the design of clinical trials of cardiovascular risk modification, observational studies of incident cardiovascular diease and diabetes, and studies evaluating diabetic complications. Her current research focuses on studying the neuroendocrine response to chronic psychological stress as a risk factor for diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Golden holds a promary appointment in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism as well as her appointment in the Welch Center. Congratulations Dr. Golden!
