Several Welch faculty collaborated on this impactful new research focusing on time-restricted eating. 

To summarize: when people ate the same amount of calories, but within a limited time window, it didn't help them lose weight or improve how their bodies handled glucose compared to eating normally.

A study finds an increased risk of death in those who practiced intermittent fasting — but more data is needed. The Welch Center's Dr. Wendy Bennett noted this study suggests a need to scrutinize the "fad diet push that people should be doing time-restricted eating."
