Roger C. Lipitz Center for Integrated Health Care

Welcome to the Roger C. Lipitz Center for Integrated Health Care, an interdisciplinary collaborative at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The Center conducts innovative research, educates the leaders of tomorrow, and translates discoveries into policies and practices to improve the quality of care and quality of life of people with complex health needs and disabilities. The center is led by Jennifer L. Wolff, PhD ’03, MHS '95, the Eugene and Mildred Lipitz Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the School.

Research Highlights: Explore Projects Underway at the Center

 New NIA Grant

Chanee Fabius, PhD, recently received a National Institute on Aging K01 Mentored Research Scientist Development award for her proposal “Improving Information Sharing Between Family Caregivers and Home Care Aides Caring for Persons Living with ADRD,” which aims to develop and refine a home care role and preference guide to improve information sharing between family caregivers of older adults living with ADRD and home care aides.

“A lot of individuals of all different demographics reported having to cut their doses of insulin or even forgo insulin altogether because of the price,” said Mariana Socal, MD, PhD, MSc, MPP, an associate scientist in Health Policy and Management and Center faculty in a Bloomberg School news story about Lilly Eli's decision to decrease the list price of insulin and cap insulin co-pays at $35 for those with commercial health insurance and uninsured patients.

Education is a foundational element in supporting caregivers of persons with dementia by helping them understand the disease, obtain skills and knowledge to effectively respond to symptoms of the disease, and become familiar with resources and supports that are available,” said Jennifer Wolff, PhD, MHS, director of the Center, in a Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health news story.
