Robert Blum, MD, MPH, PhD is the principal investigator on the Military Child Initiative and leads the Advocacy and Needs Assessment components of the Initiative. Dr. Blum’s research interests include the risk and protective factors influencing adolescent health.

Catherine Bradshaw, PhD is a co-investigator on the Military Child Initiative and interested in the design and evaluation of school and community based prevention and intervention programs for children.

Joyce Epstein, PhD is a co-investigator on the Military Child Initiative and she leads the Technical Assistance component of the Initiative.  Dr. Epstein is also the Director of the National Network of Partnership Schools and the Center on School, Family, and Community Partnerships.

Phil Leaf, PhD is a co-investigator on the Military Child Initiative and interested in school climate and its impact on youth violence.

Ruti Levtov is a staff member on the Military Child Initiative working on the Best Practices component of the Initiative. 

Beth Marshall, MPH, CHES is a staff member on the Military Child Initiative and works on the Needs Assessment component of the Initiative.  In addition, Ms. Marshall works to coordinate the five components of the Initiative.

Cecelia Martin is a staff member on the Military Child Initiative working primarily on the technical assistance component helping districts and public, private, and charter schools to improve the education of highly mobile and vulnerable students.

Clea McNeely, DrPH is a co-investigator on the Military Child Initiative and interested in youth-adult relationships in school contexts and how they contribute to school connectedness.

Anne Riley, PhD is a co-investigator on the Military Child Initiative and interested in the development of health in childhood and its impact on school performance.

Lynne Michael Blum, PhD is a consultant on the Military Child Initiative and is leading the Best Practices Component.  This work currently includes the development of the Military Child Initiative web course and in the future will include the development of an online Best Practices library.

Burness Communications firm serves as a consulting organization on the Advocacy component of the Military Child Initiative.  Burness Communications provides public relations support to nonprofit organizations in the United States and abroad.  Their public policy services enable nonprofits to connect with policymakers on Capitol Hill.
