Faculty, staff and students of the Institute for Vaccine Safety and the JHVI work to promote disease prevention using the safest vaccines possible, and help guide decision makers and educate physicians, the public, and the media about key issues surrounding the safety of vaccines.
Faculty and Fellows of the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics and the JHVI focus on the intersection of social justice and vaccine policy. A project now underway examines the social justice implications of setting funding opportunities to include global childhood immunization programs in middle income countries. Plans are also underway to train a social justice lens on policy rationales for conditionally mandatory childhood immunizations within the United States.
