SECTION HH: PROBLEM BEHAVIORS

The following questions ask about things you might have done before you turned 15. As I ask the questions, do not tell me your answer. Instead, keep track of your answers on a sheet of paper. If you do not have a sheet of paper, please try to find one now. Whenever I read a behavior that you did put an "X" on the paper. I will be asking you to count the "X’s". Do you have any questions about these instructions?

INTERVIEWER: PUT A CHECK ON THE LINE AFTER EACH QUESTION AS YOU FINISH READING IT.

READ WHEN NECESSARY: Do not tell me your answer—just put an "X" on the paper.

HH1. First, did you often skip school before the age of 13? Do not tell me your answer--just put an "X" on the paper.

HH2. Did you run away from home overnight at least twice before the age of 15? (Again, do not tell me--just put an "X" on the paper.)

HH10. Next, I want you to keep a second tally on your sheet of paper. The directions are the same. Whenever I say a behavior that you did, put an "X" on the paper. Please keep these marks separate from the first set. When I am done I am going to ask you to count the X’s. Do not include any X’s that are currently on your sheet of paper. Do you have any questions?
