  • PI:                        Sophie Lanzkron, MD, MHS, co-investigator Jodi Segal, MD, MPH
  • Funding:             Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI)
  • Status:                 Ongoing

This project will test whether the infusion clinic model improves healthcare delivery for adults with sickle cell disease (SCD) seeking out care for their pain. The data collected will be useful to stakeholders in the healthcare system who are considering developing infusion clinics. Expanding access to infusion centers are expected to allow patients in pain to have their needs met in a rapid, knowledgeable, and compassionate fashion.
