The Johns Hopkins Center for Adolescent Health is a member of the Prevention Research Centers (PRCs) Program, supported by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention cooperative agreement number 1-U48-DP-000040

We are committed to assisting urban youth in becoming healthy and productive adults. Together with community partners, the Center conducts research that identifies the needs and strengths of young people and tests programs designed to promote the health and well-being of young people.

The Young Health Programme - YHP is a long-term community investment initiative about helping young people in need around the world deal with the health issues they face so they can improve their chances of living a better life. In connection with the Center's Youth Advisory Committee, Video and slideshow stories are told through the eyes of adolescents.

Dr. Arik Marcel and Center Director Dr. Freya Sonenstein wrote an article in an upcoming issue of the journal Men and Masculinities about men's masculinity attitudes becoming significantly less traditional between middle adolescence and early adulthood.
