Actively providing meaningful leadership, support, and direction to the Center for Adolescent Health by helping to ensure that the Center’s research, training, and communication projects promote the transition of young people to healthy adulthood in Baltimore.

The purpose of the Community Advisory Board (CAB) is to serve as a working partner in guiding the Center’s activities by representing the voice of the community. Since 1994, the CAB has served as an important partner in facilitating the Center’s capacity to support healthy adolescent development. Board members represent the community we serve, with representatives from a range of organizations throughout Baltimore, including schools, youth-serving organizations and city government. CAB member representatives ensure that the reality of the needs of the community coincide with the plans and activities of the Center. CAB members provide valuable guidance, feedback and help publicize Center research and activities to the larger community. CAB members are continually engaged with Center researchers and staff to address current events, not within the Center’s planned timeline.
