As women in our 30s, 40s, and 50s, we have conscientiously kept our appointments for annual Pap smear testing for over two decades at least.
Over the years, not all of us knew exactly what we were being screened for. We certainly didn’t know about the link between a common sexually transmitted infection and Pap abnormalities or cervical cancer.
Here is an opportunity to promote and contribute to research that seeks to answer important questions about our gynecologic health in the years leading up to menopause. Here, too, is access to information all women need to be informed advocates for their cervical health.
