H.E.L.P. Course 2009: Application Information
Course Dates: July 6-July 24, 2009

Tuition and Fees
Non-Credit: $1,900A certificate will be awarded to all non-credit participants upon satisfactory completion of this course. 

Academic Credit: $4,075 (tuition amount is subject to change). The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health will grant 5 units of academic credit to those participants officially registered for the H.E.L.P. Summer Institute as a current Johns Hopkins student or a Special Student Limited. This requires completion of a separate official school registration form. Students enrolled in the H.E.L.P. course for credit will be required to submit an 8-10 page research paper at the conclusion of the course. For more information, please contact the H.E.L.P. Course Coordinator. Note that students registered as Special Student Limited are restricted to acquiring 16 academic credits at Johns Hopkins University, at which time they are required to apply to a degree program. Scholarships: The scholarship deadline has passed. Please consider applying for H.E.L.P. 2010.

Housing
H.E.L.P. participants are responsible for arranging their housing in Baltimore. If you would like to receive information about area hotels, apartments or other housing options, please contact the H.E.L.P. Course Coordinator.


Application Process

The 2009 H.E.L.P. course is full.  The 2009 H.E.L.P. Course application is available. Prospective participants may submit application materials by mail, email or fax.  In order to reserve a spot in the class, prospective participants must submit a complete application form, recent C.V., and either a $300 deposit or full course payment to the H.E.L.P. Course Coordinator (see below). The $300 deposit is included in the overall course fee and the remaining $1,600 or $3,775 is due on the first day of the course, July 6, 2009.

Application Deadline
The 2009 H.E.L.P. course is currently full. The H.E.L.P. Course accepts participants on a rolling basis until the course has reached capacity.

Cancellation Policy
Students who wish to withdraw from the course must do so in writing by June 2, 2009. Full payment will be refunded, minus the $300 deposit.
