The article discusses the U.S. vaccination plan and a potential strategy for vaccinating the public prior to an attack or threat.
On September 23, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released the 48-page Smallpox Vaccination Clinic Guide that states how to vaccinate every American in the event of an attack using smallpox. The detailed plan calls for each state to vaccinate up to 1 million people in the first ten days of an outbreak.
