Lifetime Learning

Taking a  break from her work in Lilongwe, Malawi, Catherine Schenck-Yglesias, MHS ’95, logs on to the School’s Distance Education website to get caught up on her online course on the social and behavioral aspects of primary care. A chief of data and information services for JHPIEGO, Schenck-Yglesias was bolstering her professional skills by taking advantage of the School’s continuing lifelong public health education opportunities.Alumni may register at a 50-percent discount for selected courses pursued online along with current students and the professor, and participate fully by doing all course work. Or, for a $100 flat fee per course, alumni may take courses “off cycle” on their own. (Anyone enrolled in degree programs is required to pay the regular tuition fees.) For more information, go to www.jhsph.edu/alumni/online_courses.html.
