Taking a break from her work in Lilongwe, Malawi, Catherine Schenck-Yglesias, MHS ’95, logs on to the School’s Distance Education website to get caught up on her online course on the social and behavioral aspects of primary care. A chief of data and information services for JHPIEGO, Schenck-Yglesias was bolstering her professional skills by taking advantage of the School’s continuing lifelong public health education opportunities.Alumni may register at a 50-percent discount for selected courses pursued online along with current students and the professor, and participate fully by doing all course work. Or, for a $100 flat fee per course, alumni may take courses “off cycle” on their own. (Anyone enrolled in degree programs is required to pay the regular tuition fees.)
