1916–2010
taylor

Colleagues, family, friends and former students of Carl Taylor, whose career at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health spanned nearly a half century, gathered for a celebration of his life and work on Friday, May 14, 2010.

Taylor, MD, DrPH, MPH, who passed away on February 4, founded the School’s Department of International Health in 1961. His pioneering research and service work in more than 70 countries brought lifesaving medical care to marginalized populations across the globe and inspired generations of students.
