New Associate Dean for Development and External Relations

Paul Seifert became the new Associate Dean for Development and External Relations at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health on July 30. He will oversee fund raising and communications activities for the Bloomberg School.

Previously, Seifert served as Senior Vice President for Gift Planning at ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. Before joining ALSAC/St. Jude’s in 2003, Seifert spent the previous nine years as Executive Director of Development at Georgetown University School of Law. Seifert has also worked in a number of diverse organizations where he has gained broad experience in both development and administration of organizations.

Seifert replaces Sylvia Eggelston Wehr who stepped down as Associate Dean for External Affairs in June after 22 years with the School. Seifert’s appointment was the result of a national search.
