National Youth Gang Center (NYGC)
Institute for Intergovernmental Research site to expand and maintain the body of critical knowledge about youth gangs and effective responses to them. The Center assists state and local jurisdictions in the collection, analysis, and exchange of information on gang-related demographics, legislation, literature, research, and promising program strategies. It also coordinates activities of the OJJDP Youth Gang Consortium - a group of federal agencies, gang program representatives, and other service providers.
OJJDP's Gang Reduction Program
Supports community anti-gang efforts using a five-pronged approach to gang reduction: primary prevention, secondary prevention, intervention, suppression, and reentry.
