Disparities Among Children Served by the CMHS Children’s Services Program

Philip Leaf, Principal Investigator

Since 1993, the Center for Mental Health Services’ Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children and Their Families Program has provided funding to 126 grantees to develop service systems to provide a comprehensive spectrum of mental health and other support services to children with serious emotional disturbance and their families. This project aims to investigate racial/ethnic, gender, and age differences in the characteristics of youth entering the program, potential disparities in the services received, and potential disparities in treatment outcomes.
