Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC)

The Scientific Advisory Committee includes knowledgeable researchers in the areas of air pollution epidemiology, biostatistics, air quality monitoring and exposure assessment, pulmonary toxicology and lung biology, and pulmonary and cardiovascular medicine; additionally, its membership reaches some of the key stakeholder groups including representatives from the public and private sectors, along with an EPA
representative, as specified.  The Scientific Advisory Committee meets annually to fulfill its charge of evaluating current and planned research and for monitoring the Center’s progress on its research agenda.   The recommendations of the Scientific Advisory Committee  receive thorough discussion and formal response by the Executive Committee.
