Function of organization:

The sexual assault crisis center for Baltimore City and County; provides a range of services to adults and children affected by intimate partner and sexual violence.  The mission is to build a community free of violence by working with adults and children affected by intimate partner and sexual violence to address their needs and prevent further violence through advocacy and education. 

Involvement Opportunities:

• 24/7 response time to victims of domestic violence  
• 24/7 response time to sexual assault victims receiving treatment in local emergency rooms  
• 24/7 hotline coverage  
• ER Victim Advocates Program  
• Coordinate various events 
• Office assistance
• Community Advocates and Mentors 

Holiday Needs:

Every year our clients need extra help for the holidays.  We are in need of donated food and gift cards to purchase meals.  In addition, get involved by adopting and purchasing gifts for one of our families in need. 

Additional Information:

• Shifts are available 6pm – 12am and 12am – 7am daily
• 7am – 6pm weekend shift available
• Volunteers must be 21 years old
• Volunteers must complete 24 hours of training for hotline; 40 hours of training for the ER Victim Advocated Program
