Function of Organization/Site:
- The overall mission is to provide social, economic training assistance, as well as access to health related services to Native Americans living in the Baltimore Metropolitan area.
- To provide direct relief through financial assistance and support services.
- To provide a central voice and focus for expressing concerns and resolving problems affecting Native Americans in Maryland.
Involvement Opportunities:
- Grant searching, writing, reviewing, and submitting.
- Program support, development, and reporting.
- Building clean-up and construction.
- Assisting clients with accessing health/social services, including nutrition education and food assistance for youth and adults and dental hygiene and services.
- Create, design, and distribute BAIC Newsletter
- Community Youth Arts Program--Youth mentoring.
- Get BAIC Museum and Gift Shop supplies up and running (online and on-site).
- Cultural program support (dance classes, cultural classes, regalia donations).
