Join SOURCE for our annual Spring Tri-School Day of Service on Saturday, April 18!
Sites and project details are as follows:
Parks and People Foundation 8:15am – 1:20pm Help fulfill a multi-year commitment to increase the tree canopy in the Mount Clare neighborhood. Volunteers will help plant trees in a neighborhood that has experienced hard times and economic fatigue. Join an effort that has set a goal to plant 200 trees in the community this spring.
Blue Water Baltimore 8:25am – 12:20pm Planting trees is good for the water, good for the air, and good for the soul. Get your hands dirty for clean water and join other volunteers for this community tree planting event.
Eastern Clinic 8:30am – 1:15pm If you have a green thumb or want to practice your landscaping, join others at the Baltimore City Health Department’s Eastern Clinic. Volunteers will be working on beautification projects outside including planting flowers, building flower beds and cleaning the clinic grounds all to ensure a welcoming environment for the community.
Amazing Grace Lutheran Church 8:35am – 12:10pm Help this East Baltimore urban garden get ready for spring and summer while beautifying the landscape outside of Amazing Grace Lutheran Church! Volunteers will help weed, carry out planters, mulch, trim bushes and pick up trash.
Art with a Heart 8:55am – 12:00pm Join other volunteers to help prepare for an Open House. Volunteers will be finishing art products to be sold at the event and also prepping for mosaic workshops by breaking tile and cutting glass.
Druid Health Center 9:05am – 1:05pm Join the Baltimore City Health Department’s Druid Health Center to create a more welcoming facility by assisting with a building beautification project. Volunteers will be painting rooms/hallways/public areas, fixing/updating signage throughout the building and organizing waiting room spaces.
Project PLASE 9:35am – 1:50pm If you have an eye for fashion, this project is for you. Volunteers will be preparing for the annual fundraiser, “Purses for PLASE”, an event where gently used purses are sold to raise more for client services. Activities will include sorting, marking prices, making promotional materials and organizing the space.
