SOURCE Student Governing Board
Students from each of our three schools (Medicine, Nursing and the Bloomberg School of Public Health) are selected to serve on SOURCE's Governing Board.
Students give vital feedback regarding meetings, activities and events that SOURCE sponsors and co-sponsors. SOURCE's Student Governing Board works to increase the visibility of community engagement and service-learning on the medical campus by encouraging other students to utilize SOURCE and its resources, as well as to spread the word regarding various service-based student groups in East Baltimore.
SOURCE's Student Governing Board: 2012-2013
Meet our team of students from the schools of Medicine, Nursing and the Bloomberg School of Public Health who are serving as representatives on SOURCE's Student Governing Board this academic year.
How to Join SOURCE's Student Governing Board
SOURCE has already selected Student Governing Board Members for the 2012-2013 academic year, and applications are not being accepted. However, if you are interested in applying for 2013/2014, note that the following spots are typically available each year on SOURCE's Student Governing Board:
Bloomberg School (two student representatives from any program + two student representatives from the MPH class)
School of Nursing (up to two student representatives from each of the academic program cohorts)
School of Medicine (Special Circumstance: The representatives on SOURCE's Student Governing Board are also the SOM's InterAction Council representatives. Each year, two-three new MSIs are selected to serve as SOURCE's Student Governing Board Members and InterAction Council representatives)
At the start of each academic school year, SOURCE announces all open positions on SOURCE's Student Governing Board. Students submit applications to SOURCE. These applications are reviewed by and voted on by SOURCE's full Governing Board (including deans, faculty, students, and non-profit leaders). Top applicants will be invited to interview with SOURCE Governing Board members. After interviews are conducted, SOURCE's Governing Board will select the new student members of the board.
