A Final Study Report closes out IRB oversight of a research project. Once a final study report is approved, the study file will be archived at Iron Mountain. A PI should submit a final study report when one of these are true: IRB approval for the study has lapsed. - The PI has completed research activity and wishes to close the study.
- The IRB approved the study, but it was never initiated.
