Purpose: The Johns Hopkins Center for Global Health offers a Faculty Grant Program to Junior Faculty (Assistant Professors and Assistant Scientists) in the Schools of Public Health, Medicine, and Nursing to enable and support global health research projects. The prime purpose of these awards is to strengthen the individual's ability to secure research funding from currently available resources. The deadline for this year's program is October 18, 2010. Eligibility: Applicants must be full-time Assistant Professors or Assistant Scientists in the Schools of Publich Health, Medicine, and Nursing at the time of application; those in "visiting" or "adjunct" status or those pending appointment are not eligible. Funding availability: The budget for faculty grants is $500,000 per year. Awards are for two years of support and a maximum amount of $50,000.
