Career Services For Employers

Bloomberg School graduates are among the top public health professionals in the world. The Office of Career Services wants to ensure that employers have ample opportunities to match their needs with the skills and interests of our students.

Below are some good avenues for employers interested in recruiting Bloomberg School students. For more information, contact the Office of Career Services.

Employer Information Sessions

Employer information sessions take place here at the Bloomberg School (615 N. Wolfe St.). Our information sessions are planned as hour-long events typically held during lunch-time when no classes are scheduled to meet. Additionally, we can also schedule information sessions after 5 pm when many students have finished classes for the day. You benefit from in-person time with students where you can present information about your organization, highlight job openings and respond to questions. Scheduling Information Sessions (Fall 2014) - JHSPH students complete classes over two 8 week terms from September through December. In order to maximize the potential number of students in attendance, the Career Services Office have identified preferred dates for information session. Please use this Google Doc for a list of good available dates for the 1st and 2nd term during Fall 2014. Looking forward to working with you this year!

Career Fair

The Bloomberg School’s annual public health career fair provides a convenient location for employer representatives to meet and network with students, faculty and alumni. Participants typically include graduate students from the Bloomberg School, the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and also the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.

Job Postings

Employers can post full-time jobs, part-time jobs, consultancies and internships through the Bloomberg School’s exclusive jobs database, JHSPHConnect. A brief description of your organization and qualifications desired should be included in the posting. A salary or salary range is also helpful. Positions can also be sent by email to careers@jhsph.edu or you can fax them to 410-502-9809.

Instructions for posting positions to JHSPHConnect:

  1. Click on the employer registration link for JHSPHConnect.
  2. Click on "Create an account," then click on "Request access."
  3. After you have entered your information, we will receive the request for your organization to gain direct access to the system.
  4. After your request has been approved, you will receive notification that you are able to post positions within the system.
