Student Named to American Public Health Association Science Board (web article)

Hossein Bahrami, MD, MPH, a PhD-candidate in the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Department of Epidemiology, was appointed to a three-year term on the Science Board of the American Public Health Association (APHA)

The APHA is the oldest and largest organization of public health professionals in the world, representing more than 50,000 members from over 50 occupations of public health.

Bahrami also holds a leadership position with the APHA Student Assembly, which was previously known as Public Health Student Caucus.

Adnan A. Hyder, MD, MPH, PhD, an assistant professor and the Leon Robertson Faculty Development Chair in the Bloomberg School of Public Health Department of International Health, also sits on APHA Science Board. In addition, several other JHSPH students serve in APHA Student Assembly leadership positions. They are George Karageorgiou, Amy Boore, Joshua Garoon, Amira Roess and Raghavendran Srinivasan.
