Professional Interests:

Dr. Vasa's primary research interest relates to the cognitive and neural underpinnings of pediatric anxiety disorders.  She is currently conducting several studies that investigate the relationship between threat detection, threat evaluation, emotional memory, and pediatric anxiety.  The results of these studies will form the basis of future functional neuroimaging studies that examine the neurophysiological correlates of anxiety. Dr. Vasa has also published several studies on the clinical and neuroanatomic correlates of anxiety disorders after pediatric brain injury.
