Public Health Practice Grand Rounds

A Webcast Training Series

MAPHTC has collaborated with the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to develop a Public Health Practice Grand Rounds, a monthly webcast lecture series for the State. The webcast technology is a cost-effective and convenient way to reach large numbers of state and local health professionals with training sessions on a variety of public health topics.

Lectures last 1 and 1/2 hours and are available to each health department site throughout the state. In true “grand rounds” format, the topic is introduced by a state/local health department representative and then followed by an in-depth presentation on the topic by a Hopkins faculty member. All lectures are "webcast" from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The state and MAPHTC work together to handle all the necessary logistics for these activities.

Please contact us if you would like to suggest future Public Health Practice Grand Round topics.
