The Legacy Society is an honorary organization of more than 120 alumni, faculty and friends of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health who have chosen to support the mission of the School through a charitable bequest or life-income gift. Founded in the late 19th century, the Johns Hopkins University and Hospital owe their beginnings to the generosity of their namesake and his $7 million bequest. In 1916, the School of Public Health was established with grants from the Rockefeller Foundation. The Bloomberg School owes a tremendous debt to the many benefactors who have included the School as part of their legacy and is proud to recognize them as members of the Legacy Society. |
