Mariam Temitope Labinjo-Masha is a Road Safety Projects Consultant for the Lagos State Government in Nigeria. In this position, she develops school road safety programs specifically targeted at primary and secondary school students in the state; works with the Lagos State Traffic Agency to enhance the road traffic data surveillance system; and assists with the development of a road traffic safety curriculum for the drivers institute being established in the state for professional drivers. She also worked for the World Health Organization (WHO Nigeria) as a National Coordinator for Nigeria for the Global Status of Road Traffic Injury. Mariam graduated from Johns Hopkins with her MPH in 2003 with concentrations in Health Systems Management and International Health. Mariam is currently a WHO Mentor VIP Candidate. Mariam benefited from a working relationship with Dr. Adnan Hyder during and after her time at the Center for Injury Research & Policy. |
