Single-stream recycling

What is single-stream recycling?
Single-stream recycling is a new and improved program that allows paper, plastic, glass and aluminum to be recycled in one, single container. As a rule of thumb, if it’s a can, a bottle, a plastic container or paper that tears, you can put it in the recycling container. For specific parameters on what can and cannot be recycled, click on the link to Single-stream Guidelines below.

Good news!
Since the debut in April 2008, our recycling rate is up from about 10 percent to 33.8 percent.
