Process Documentation: Learning from Implementation Experience of the Urban Health Resource Center in Slums of North India

This study is in collaboration with the Urban Health Resource Center (UHRC), and based on an understanding of the urban health situation in India and the activities of the UHRC developed through process documentation activities in the UHRC program areas.

The activity seeks to develop a collaborative operations research project aimed at addressing critical questions limiting the effective implementation of urban child health programs in India.

The operations research will include the following components:

  • A needs assessment to identify problems related to service delivery
  • Development of one or more interventions to address the problems
  • Testing of the intervention(s) to evaluate their effects and costs
  • Dissemination of the results to key decision-makers
  • Facilitation of the use of results to change service delivery procedures or policies
