Research

Since its inception, the Institute has been actively involved in the generation of scientific evidence to support the development of strong tobacco control policies around the world.

Our research activities focus on:

  • Applied and translational research that informs policy and practices
  • The epidemiology of smoking
  • Building effective research networks
  • The economics of tobacco control

Research

There is no safe level for secondhand smoke (SHS) exposure. SHS levels should be zero.
