This component addreses the need to build capacity to reduce tobacco use in Bloomberg Initiative countries at the national and local levels. Activities focus on: (1) increasing understanding of tobacco control; (2) enhancing technical skills; and, (3) leadership development. As part of its capacity building activities, JHSPH has developed training materials for individuals seeking to enhance their effectiveness in tobacco control activities.
