Goal: To establish a center for reproductive health to strengthen research and training capacity

In Malawi, the Gates Institute provides support to the newly established Center for Reproductive Health, based in the College of Medicine, to provide leadership, training and research expertise to build the human capacity required to scale up the implementation of the national reproductive health program.  Partners include the College of Health Sciences, the Kamuzu School of Nursing, the Faculty of Social Sciences, Chancellor College, the Institute for Economic Research and the Ministry of Health and Population. The Centre collaborates with local and foreign NGOs on research and in-service training to improve reproductive health services and build program capacity.
