Goal: To develop a reproductive health certificate program for Ministry of Health officials

The Department of Community Medicine at Assuit University will develop a reproductive health certificate program for the provincial ministry of health to develop well-trained, physician-leaders in the area of reproductive health. The program will focus on training, faculty development and infrastructure, and it will result in

• a portfolio of in-service training designed to enhance the performance of individuals engaged in population-oriented reproductive health in Upper Egypt
• an updated reproductive health curriculum for the current Master of Public Health degree
• competitive scholarships
• research grants to faculty in reproductive health
• upgraded training resources
• a field station in collaboration with the Ministry of Health
