Goal: Develop reproductive health certificate program for Ministry of Health officials

The Department of Community Medicine at Assuit University will develop a reproductive health certificate program for the provincial ministry of health to develop well-trained, physician-leaders in the area of reproductive health. The program will focus on training, faculty development and infrastructure and will result in: 1) a portfolio of in-service training designed to enhance the performance of individuals engaged in population-oriented reproductive health in Upper Egypt; 2) an updated reproductive health curriculum of the current Master of Public Health degree; 3) competitive scholarships; 4) research grants to faculty in reproductive health; 5) upgraded training resources; and 6) a field station in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
