My research interests relate to analysis of data generated from observational studies.  Specifically, I am interested in longitudinal data analysis (LDA) and multi-level models (MLMs) and causal inference within observational studies.  I teach courses in both LDA and MLMs.

I currently apply these methods to data from ICAP (Improving Care of Acute lung injury Patients) study from within the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine (PIs Pronovost and Needham).

Another area of research is multi-stage models for Alzheimer's disease prevalence (work with Ron Brookmeyer), we have developed a web-based tool to  project the prevalence of Alzheimer's disease globally, for the US or for other user-specified regions. Check is out HERE
