Dr. Kasper's research and teaching interests include health policy in disability and long-term care; assessment of needs for care and service provision to physically and mentally disabled people; health care financing and access for vulnerable populations; and the development and application of data sources -- national surveys in particular -- for health policy analysis and health services research. She is Principal Investigator of the National Health and Aging Trends Study (www.nhats.org) funded by the National Institute on Aging to support research on disability trends and dynamics among older people.
