Impact of Drunk Driving on the Nation’s Health
Deborah A.P. Hersman, Acting Chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), will be the keynote speaker at the 16th Annual Daniel J. Raskin Memorial Symposium on Injury Prevention, at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Monday, September 16, at noon ET. Chairman Hersman’s lecture, Vanquishing the Dragon of Alcohol-Impaired Driving, will address the impact drunk driving has on our nation’s health, and the high cost of injury and deaths attributed to alcohol-impaired related crashes. Appointed by President Obama and unanimously approved by the U.S. Senate in 2009 and 2011, Hersman is serving her second term as Chairman of the NTSB and has recently been nominated for her third.
