Tuition is $125.00
Full-time JHU faculty, staff and eligible dependants may enroll under the terms of the JHU tuition remission program. Please ask your human resources representative for more information about the tuition remission program.

8:30a - 9:00a: Registration and Continental Breakfast

9:00a - 10:00a: Welcome and Introduction to Mindfulness

10:00a – 12:00p: Experiential introduction to Mindfulness-Tools for Daily Stress Management:

-Eating Meditation
-Breath awareness:breath as anchor
-Introduction to gentle Hatha yoga: Body as new vantage point
-Introduction to walking meditation:grounding
-Introduction to sitting meditation:Being vs doing
-discussion of experiences of the morning

12:00p – 1:00p: Silent "working" mindful lunch
 
1:00p - 2:15p: Yoga Nidra-a deeply restorative guided imagery practice: Introduction to the parasympathetic nervous system

2:15p - 3:15p: Introduction to Stress Physiology-the sympathetic nervous system

3:15p – 4:00p: Application of mindfulness tools to recognize and treat professional burnout/ compassion fatigue; uses in clinical practice

Question and answer session/ discussion of practical uses of skills used today.
