The purpose of this course is to provide a comprehensive review of the field of industrial hygiene and to aid in the preparation for the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) comprehensive examination. This course will be taught by qualified faculty with extensive experience in industrial hygiene and related areas. Topics covered include: Calculations Conversions Statistics Sampling and analytic procedures for gases and vapors, and particulates Ventilation Indoor and outdoor air pollution Respiratory protection Toxicology Ergonomics Physical agents Regulations Standards and guidelines Biohazards Study techniques
This course is not intended for entry level industrial hygienists. Attendees must have a basic understanding of mathematics, statistics, and chemistry. ABIH CM points pending approval. Patrick N.
