| The PhD degree program in the Department of Population, Family and Reproductive Health is designed for well qualified students with excellent academic records, evidence of exceptional ability in acquiring the bachelor's or master's degree, and/or extensive field experience in disciplines related to their area of specialization within the field of population, family and reproductive health. The program is under the jurisdiction of the University wide Graduate Board, and is addressed to students seeking careers in high-level research or academic positions in the field.
Over the course of the program, PhD students will acquire the core knowledge and develop the competence necessary to advance the field and pursue careers in academia or research organizations in one of the following specialized academic program areas: - Child and Adolescent Health and Development
- Population and Health
- Reproductive, Perinatal, and Women's Health
Course Requirements for the PhD PFHS requires doctoral students to take a minimum of 3 units in Research Ethics.
