Department of International Health

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

Students interested in a doctoral research degree must apply to one of the department's four academic program areas:

Candidates must complete courses in international health and in their selected program, undertake research in their specialized field of interest, and prepare and defend a thesis based on this investigation.

The total number of course credits required varies by program area but can be no fewer than 84 credits. Students are required to remain in residence for a minimum of six terms while completing the degree.

The PhD Academic Guide 2011-2012 contains degree- and program-specific information, competencies, and course requirements.
