The Department of Health Policy and Management offers a research-oriented, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in four program areas: Bioethics and Health Policy; Economic Evaluation and Policy; Health Services Research and Policy; and Prevention and Public Policy. Applicants apply and are admitted to one of these four programs, completing the curriculum required. In addition, there are several areas of specialization available, where students have the opportunity to focus their study. These specialization areas include: Environmental and Occupational Health Policy: Gerontology; and Injury Control. Certificates are available for several of these specializations. The PhD programs are offered on a full-time basis, requiring students to be physically based on the Johns Hopkins East Baltimore campus for the duration of the course-work portion of the program. |
