Graduates of the MPP program enjoy an outstanding record of placement in the career of their choice. The program fosters an environment that allows faculty and staff to work with students in career advising, planning, recruitment, and placement to ensure that they are competent and competitive as they enter their chosen professions upon graduation. Students are encouraged to use a variety of resources in career planning, including the practitioners, researchers, and program managers along with MPP alumni. In addition to contact with professionals who speak at Institute and department-sponsored events, students develop connections with experts in their field of study when they work in internships tailored to their interests. Graduates of the MPP program find ready employment at all levels of government, and in private and nonprofit organizations. Jobs range from program officer for a philanthropic foundation to policy or research analyst at a research institute or government agency to executive director of a nonprofit organization. Some graduates continue their study in Ph.D. programs. |
