Application Deadline

The application deadline for the MPP program for the 2012–2013 academic year is February 1, 2012.  However, it is recommended that you apply in the fall as the application review process begins in November 2011.

Interviews are strongly recommended.  If it is not possible to schedule an on-site interview, a formal phone interview should be scheduled with the program.

A completed application is required for the program to begin the review process.  A completed application consists of the following:

  • A completed online application
  • Application fee
  • GRE scores
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation
  • Official transcripts from ALL educational institutions attended
  • Resume
  • TOEFL OR IELTS scores (for international applicants from countries/education programs where English is not the official language)

Applicants can expect to receive notification of the outcome of their application in mid- to late March 2012



The Master of Public Policy (MPP) program at Johns Hopkins is now offered through the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Bloomberg School of Public Health.
