Directions and Parking Information

The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is composed of two buildings, the Wolfe Street Building and the Hampton House Building, on the medical campus in East Baltimore. Courses offered in the Health Policy and Management Summer Institute are taught in the Hampton House Building, located at 624 N. Broadway. All students should report to Room 461; directions to the building can be found below:

Directions from the South
Take either I-95 or the Baltimore Washington Parkway.  Follow signs for Russell Street to downtown Baltimore.  Upon entering the city, make a right turn on Pratt Street (one way east).  Go a little less than a mile and turn left on Caroline Street.  Follow the signs that read "Hopkins Outpatient Parking."  You will cross over Orleans Street, which is Route 40.  Go approximately 2 blocks to McElderry Street to the parking garage.  Upon exiting the garage, look to the left of the Outpatient Center.  There is a wide red brick walkway.  Walk up to the end of the brick walkway and turn left.  Hampton House is on the left; the entrance with the green awning is just down the street.  Be prepared to show a photo ID to enter the building.

Directions from the North
Take I-95 south to 895.  Continue on 895 until sign says "To U.S. 40" and "Last Exit before Tunnel/Moravia Road."  Take Moravia Road exit, turning left at the traffic light.  Take second right exit to U.S. 40 west.  Continue approximately 3 miles and make a right on Caroline Street.  Go approximately two blocks to McElderry Street to the parking garage.  Upon exiting the garage, look to the left of the Outpatient Center.  There is a wide red brick walkway.  Walk up to the end of the brick walkway and turn left.  Hampton House is on the left; the entrance with the green awning is just down the street.  Be prepared to show a photo ID to enter the building.

Directions from I-83 South
Take I-83 south (stay in the left lane) and make a left onto Fayette Street.  Proceed to Caroline Street (3-5 blocks), make a left at Caroline Street.  Follow signs to the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center. Make a right into McElderry Street and proceed to the parking garage.  Upon exiting the garage, look to the left of the Outpatient Center.  There is a wide red brick walkway.  Walk up to the end of the brick walkway and turn left.  Hampton House is on the left; the entrance with the green awning is just down the street.  Be prepared to show a photo ID to enter the building.

Directions from Penn Station
Taxi stand is located in front of the train station.  Indicate that you want to go to the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions campus, the Hampton House Building, 624 North Broadway.  Cab fare is between $7 and $10.

Parking Fee
Participants who park in the McElderry Street garage will be eligible to purchase discounted parking coupons from the Summer Institute.  The parking coupons allow all day parking for $5 a day.  You may purchase only on the morning of class, and you must pay by cash or check. Credit cards will not be accepted for this expense.
