The Johns Hopkins part-time Master of Public Health (MPH) Program offers the opportunity for working professionals to earn a master's degree without taking time off from work and relocating to the U.S.
The Fall Institute provides an opportunity for students to begin the program in Barcelona, starting with a one-day orientation session followed by a one-week introductory course. During the orientation and subsequent course in Barcelona, students have an opportunity to interact with Johns Hopkins faculty and program staff, as well as with current students to build relationships that will support their studies throughout the program. Part-time students may complete the degree requirements by creating a schedule that takes advantage of courses offered in the Fall Institute in Barcelona with courses offered on the main campus and courses taken over the internet. Students can complete up to 80 percent of the degree requirements online, using subsequent trips to Barcelona or Baltimore, Maryland, (U.S.) at times that are convenient to complete the degree program. Students are permitted three years to complete the degree requirements.
Further information on the part-time program can be found on the MPH website. Questions related to the program and information on the application process should be directed to the MPH Program Office, mphprog@jhsph.edu or 410-955-1291. To begin the part-time MPH program in Barcelona this fall, the deadline for consideration is August 1, 2009. |
