The Master of Health Science (MHS) in Environmental Health typically serves as a foundation for further academic training, such as medical school or a doctoral program, and to identify long-term career opportunities. The program is intended for baccalaureate graduates who want a broad, systematic introduction to environmental health sciences. It is also designed for experienced working professionals who have an interest in becoming more knowledgeable about environmental health issues. The curriculum is designed to give students competence in the following areas: environmental health, basic biological mechanisms, toxicology, statistics, epidemiology, risk sciences and public policy, legal and regulatory issues, and diseases related to environmental exposures. |
